Only When I Laugh

A young housewife quietly asks to finish the university degree she abandoned when she had her daughter. Her husband's initial support slowly curdles into control, and then into something considerably worse. Based on a real Croatian court case. Juranić works in an understated register that makes the slow accumulation of menace all the more suffocating — a domestic thriller that never announces itself as one.
